Spent the afternoon on the Tees at Barnard Castle with a group of 7 other people equally as enthusiastic as me about just messing about on a river. Bit of ferrygliding, bit of route finding, bit of eddying. It really never ceases to amaze me how much novices can learn in two hours and the regulars are looking pretty damn good after 3/4 outings about the region.
