Just the three of us on Phil's Sunday meet, diverted from the Peak District to Kyloe (out) in Northumberland, hoping to avoid the showers. Overcast on arrival with a few spots of rain, but it soon brightened up. Warm sunny afternoon with pleasant SW breeze catching the top of crag. Busier place than expected with visitors down from Edinburgh (closer than N Yorks). We climbed five routes, four happily led by Phil in fine form - Parity (HS 4b *), Deception Wall (HS 4c *), Wilfred Prickles (HVS 5a **) and Flake Crack (S 4b 3*). I led Christmas Tree Arête (VD *) - too tired to lead anything else. We left the crag on a beautiful sunny evening - perfect for camping, but not this time. Some recovery with drinks at The Black Swan, Belford, before the journey home.
PS. Looks like the gorse below the crag has now been cut.
PPS. We followed the football on the radio.
