Eight people joined me for a walk through the glorious meadows of Swaledale. Around Gunnerside Bottoms for a profusion of flowers, then up-stream glimpsing Oystercatcher, Common Sandpiper, Grey and Pied Wagtails and passing through many more colourful fields, spotting over 30 different plants. Between Ivelet and Rampsholme Bridge, we saw the SandMartin colony and heard a Cuckoo calling. Our return on a higher track provided beautiful views of the Dale.
