The club's annual relay involves members from all sections. We have tackled all the local long distance footpaths during our relays and it always proves to be a very enjoyable and sociable day. The 2002 relay (A Dales Odyssey or Fetch Watto's Birthday Cake) on Sept. 8th was a tremendous success. A superb, small, robust cake, provided by Reeth Bakery, was carried along the 109k route and delivered safely a mere 20 mins late and its arrival was followed by a well attended and lively pie, potatoes and peas supper with delicious cake and much discussion about the various events of the day. Thanks go to all those who took part and especially to Andy Watson who not only organised it, but did the supper as well - hope you had a good birthday weekend. |
